We won’t know for several weeks yet, but as the great debate rages as to whether we’re having a boy or a girl, some confusion has arisen in regards to the ever-so-accurate ring test. Some say if it swings back and forth like a pendulum, you’re having a boy and if it swings in a circle, you’re having a girl. This makes the most sense to me since round shapes are feminine and straight or angular shapes are masculine, but some people prefer it in reverse.

Another legend suggests that the ring test can be done either over the belly or over the wrist. I tried it and got the same result both ways, so maybe there is something to that.

Ring tests and tall tales aside, I seem to be the only one who thinks we’re having a boy. Even Dan believes Opie’s a girl. At this point, only God knows for certain, but I would like to conduct a little research. I’m polling the audience. Who thinks I’m going to have to learn the difference between a hockey ball and a basketball helmet, and who thinks Dan’s going to have to get used to the pink aisle at Target?
